Time Warp Formula 500

Extracts from an amateur racers log; In the early 80s Mike Griffiths bought a Formula 500 to go racing and kept a meticulous log detailing his entries in 3 consecutive Manx Grand Prix. This is a fascinating record of what it was like to own and race a Formula  on the Island during the 500s most successful racing era.  

Daytona

Alan Cathcart’s Daytona ride was an incredible achievement on an amazing bike and probably marked the end of an era when a privateer on the right equipment on the right day could trounce the big budget opposition. The Daytona result demonstrated that when its potential was unlocked, the Laverda middleweight became a true 150mph giant killer.
